I recommend you Chiriqui River Rafting. They organize 4 hour trips (of class IV and III) on Rio Chiriqui, using modern equipment. However, they charge 75-90$ for each person. They can also arrange accomodation and transportation to the starting point. Their office is on Av Central , next to Lourdes, and they are open from 8.30 to 17.30.
